I found this photograph in an album previously owned by Dorothy Ellen Roberts-Purchase. I believe that it is her father, Richard Roberts Purchase. In 1917, he would have been 62. The rear of the photo has 'Sept 1917' written on it and a segment of another scene stuck on.
