We've been recording a few demo tracks to help us get more gigs.
We only have the vocals left to do - when we're finished, we'll put some
samples up for download in the 'sounds' section. In the meantime, buy
yourself a piano and make your own music, you freeloading bastards!

Die Curious will be making their Bos Vegas debut at a private party this Friday.
We're not exactly sure of the road name or house number at this time, but it's
really close to where all the whores hang out.

"Despite the competition of Bournemouth Live music events, Die Curious
managed to attract an enthusiastic clique of fans to their first gig at
The Gander on Holdenhurst Road. Fighting terrible acoustics and a scary
Scots 'sound engineer', the band managed to impress with a set of varied
and original songs. Technically outstanding and modestly amusing, the
group will be well worth catching next time they play live in the
Bournemouth area."
Jemma Sander-Heys, Muse Magazine.

Our long-awaited first perfomance is nearly upon us!
Die Curious are playing at the Gander in Bournemouth on Saturday night.

We are applying the final touches to our set list. Scott,
our new drummer, is very nearly up to speed and we will begin gigging within
the next couple of weeks.

Die Curious support the concept of free speech. We also
treat ideas that are not worthy of respect as they deserve to be treated.
What makes one particular flavour of delusion special?

Die Curious is temporarily a non-live entity - but not for much longer.
Parallels could accurately be drawn between Die Curious and one of the largest,
and perhaps the most striking, dragonflies of the world - the
Hawaiian Anax Junius (also known as the Green Darner Dragonfly).
Rapidly approaching the final stages of the larvae phase, the adult
form is nearly complete and ready to spread it's wings to finally take flight
into the unknown.
After having spent the final months of 2005 sharpening our
live technique via the arduous (but educational) route of playing acoustic
gigs, we remembered what it means to be in Die Curious, and re-discovered the
original game plan - to play loud and rock an awful lot.
Never content with an audience merely enjoying our music, we would sooner opt
to surprise people with our sounds. This is our aim. This is why the Anax
Strenuus butterfly can sometimes take years to utilise it's powerful wings,
but is also among the grandest and most stunning of all the Dragonflies.

We tentatively have a drummer, so we have decided to concentrate on
rearranging our songs for bass, drums and electric guitar - we will not be
doing any more acoustic gigs in the near future. Watch this space!

Wed Dec 14 2005
We played an open mike night last night and we both thought that it went very
badly. We were only given time to play two of our songs. The (new) engineer
constantly fiddled with the levels on the mikes so we were unable to judge
how loud, or how far away, to sing.
However, the audience did seem to like us, with many cheers and people joining
in on their bongos. Somebody commented that they liked
the way that we 'both kept switched roles', and we now have a potential
drummer to audition on Saturday!

New website online!
Die Curious is the latest project from Bournemouth-based musicians Alex
Wallace and Graham Keeling.
We began writing songs together in our late teens, but split and joined several
different bands in the South of England.
In late 2005, we came together again and pooled our separate experiences to
create all-new material relevant to the new millenium.
We aim to produce music that is interesting and different from what you would
expect from an average band - and the feedback from our few performances so far has been very encouraging!
Our first step to world domination in our current form is to test our new
material in acoustic gigs around the Bournemouth and Poole area. See the 'dates'
section of this site to find out when we will be playing next.
Early in the year 2006, we intend to evolve into a fully-fledged three-piece
band consisting of drums, bass and guitar. So, if you are a spare drummer,
send us a message through the 'hate' section.
