Extra information |
Worked as a farmer at Rudham, Norfolk.
Three of his children are identified and shown above. There was probably
another daughter born between 1821 and 1825 who married a Mr Upjohn (a surgeon)
and had a daughter called Alice, born in East Rudham, Norfolk. Alice is shown
in the 1851 census as living with John's wife Elizabeth Thompson at Lower Anchorage Abbey
Farm, Docking.
This John Drage is indicated as being still alive in the 1851 census but was
not at home on the census night. He is shown as a farmer on his son
John Drage's marriage
certificate to Mary Drage Brandford in 1847.
His son John Drage and
his daughter Lydia Drage are both shown to have
been born in
Middlesex, London, so it looks like John and his wife were in London
until about 1825/1826 when they show up in Norfolk, Elizabeth Thompson's
birthplace.
His will was written on 15/03/1855 and proved 26/12/1856.
