The writing on the rear is by two people, one of which is Confidential. It reads: Grandfather Pate (Robert Pate (1820-1890) at The Limes Haddenham, Isle of Ely. photo probably circa 1860)It is clear that this photograph is much later than 1860. I think it is more likely to be around 1870. | |
