To whom it may concern;

WE DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE ANY DEBT TO YOUR COMPANY

You recently contacted us with reference to an alleged debt that you say is owed by ourselves to Southern Electric Gas for the dates 26/10/2008 to 03/11/2008 at XXXXXXXXXXX Road XXXXXXXXXXXX.

Please be informed that our rental contract terminated and we vacated the address above prior to the date range that you have given. Therefore we are not liable for the gas supply during that period.

When we vacated the house, we informed Southern Electric Gas and settled the bill for the XXXXXXXXXX address. Furthermore, we retained them as our gas suppliers at our new address. Therefore, we are astonished that we have received no related correspondence from them prior to your rather aggressive 'final demand' letter.

Although we would be happy for Southern Electric Gas to politely contact us directly concerning the above account, we demand that no further contact be made by yourselves - unless it is to provide written confirmation that this matter is now closed.
