guitar the second

Fresh from the success of my first own-built guitar, I'm making another. This one shall be fairly similar, although I shall be using nicer looking parts.

Here are the main parts that I have so far - all from ebay, except for the machine heads;

Guitar body Guitar body (rear view) Bridge Pickups Machine heads Knobs Guitar neck

In order to nicely join the neck to the body, I had to (with my friend, Robert Hawkins' help) drill different holes into the body's cavity and use these instead. Using the original ones made the neck join at a slight angle. I used the old holes to attach the neck plate so that the screws can't be seen.

This time around, I assembled all the circuitry myself;

After much soldering, the guitar was finished! I decided not to use a scratch plate this time, as the finish of the body looks great by itself;
