Sellotape
Every now and then I get the urge to try and improve my musicianship. This track was the result of me deciding to try to learn to play jazz, but not getting very far!
I recorded a backing track for playing along to, to try to develop some kind of jazz improvisational skills. All the chords are in C.
I promptly forgot about trying to learn jazz, but then found the backing track some time later and decided that, with a little bit of extra work, it would be a nice short instrumental track for the album, since most of the songs so far had singing in them.
The title 'Sellotape' comes from the idea of something that sticks thing together. Although, know I think it kind of sounds like the sort of thing that a TV channel would play at you when they are having technical difficulties!
Maybe 'Intermission' or 'Technical Difficulties' would be better titles?
