Time Has Gone
This is a track made specifically for the album. I needed something upbeat to follow on from 'Don't Fall In Love With Me', and I resurrected a riff that I had made up a long time ago. Seeing a photograph of myself with friends that I no longer have any contact with on a holiday in Ibiza aged eighteen provided the inspiration for the words.
Seeing the picture also made me think about a video tape I recorded of me and a bunch of students at university when I was nineteen.
I found that I was sad that those days are gone. But then upon thinking about it a little more, I realised that I'm probably happier now than I was back then, although I still feel a little sad that I'll never be that young again.
