Titanium
After 'Cog', I wanted something a bit more rocky. So I decided to do a song about lust.
The track here was a test track that I made to see if the idea that I had would work. I set up a simple drum beat and I tuned the low E string of my guitar down to D (which is something I never normally do), and recorded the rhythm track.
A couple of days went by. During that time, I saw a Guns 'N' Roses tribute band called Bad Obsession. They were amazing! I haven't been on that much of a rock high since... um. Well, never, I guess!
So, fresh from that gig, the singing on the only mix that's left of this was an experiment that may or may not have been successful. I was planning to expand this into a full length song for the album.
Here are some photos that my friend Steve took at a Bad Obsession gig. The last photo shows Alex and I afterwards looking more than a little dazed!
