According to his daughter Dorothy Ellen Roberts-Purchase's first marriage
certificate, he was a Jeweller in 1919.
By the time of her second marriage in 1943, he was retired. Confidential's family tree document lists another daughter named Audrey who died in infancy. The same document says: Between 1905 and 1910 the family changed their name to ROBERTS-PURCHASE. Some kept the name PURCHASE and some used the name ROBERTS. For official purposes ROBERTS-PURCHASE was always used. | ||
